Repair Service Terms & Conditions
1. Scope of Service
RetroDirect ("the Company") provides repair services for gaming consoles, computers, and accessories ("Devices"). By submitting a repair request, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions outlined below.
2. Repair Process
- The customer must complete and submit the Repair Request Form with accurate information about the device and issue.
- Upon receiving the device, the Company will diagnose the issue and provide a repair quote to the customer.
- The repair process will commence upon the customer's approval of the quote and payment of any applicable fees.
3. Warranty
- All repairs performed by the Company come with a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.
- The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs.
- If the repaired device experiences issues within the warranty period, the customer must notify the Company promptly. The Company will repair or replace the defective parts at no additional cost to the customer.
4. Liability
- The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the device during shipping. The customer is responsible for adequately packaging the device for shipment.
- The Company shall not be liable for any data loss or damage to software during the repair process. It is the customer's responsibility to back up their data before sending in the device for repair.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- The customer must provide accurate information about the device and issue when submitting the Repair Request Form.
- The customer must package the device securely for shipment and include any necessary accessories (e.g., power cables, controllers).
- The customer is responsible for shipping costs to and from the Company's repair center.
6. Payment
- Payment for repair services must be made in full once the repair process is finished.
- The customer will receive a detailed invoice outlining the repair costs, including parts and labor.
- Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, PayPal, or other forms of electronic payment.
7. Payment and Unclaimed Products
- Upon completion of the repair, customers will be notified and provided with the final invoice. Payment for the completed repair must be made within 30 days of receiving the invoice. If payment is not received within this period, RetroDirect reserves the right to withhold the repaired item until payment is made in full.
- Customers will also be provided with a detailed repair estimate upon diagnosis of their device. If the estimate is not approved or the customer does not respond within 30 days, RetroDirect will consider the item abandoned. At this point, the item will become the property of RetroDirect, and we reserve the right to dispose of or resell the item to recover costs associated with the repair and storage.
- If the repaired item remains unclaimed and unpaid for 90 days from the date of the invoice, RetroDirect will consider the item abandoned. 8. Cancellation and Refunds
- The customer may cancel their repair request within 24 hours of submission for a full refund.
- Once the repair process has commenced, refunds will not be issued. If the customer wishes to cancel a repair after it has begun, they may be responsible for any incurred costs up to that point.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a repair request, the customer acknowledges that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
