Service Description: This service includes replacement of thermal paste on a PS3 Console. Replacing the thermal paste on your PS3 is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and preventing overheating issues. Over time, the original thermal paste can dry out or lose effectiveness, leading to increased temperatures that may harm internal components.
Note about Optional Delid: This service is only offered on Original Model PS3s. We cannot perform this service on Slim or Super Slim Consoles. Sony added a second layer of thermal paste underneath the top layer of the CELL and RSX chips. This second layer of thermal paste is known to commonly dry out, and replacing this thermal paste is an extremely risky process. Due to age and the fragility of components, additional repairs may be needed when performing this additional repair. Please only purchase this optional service if you understand and accept the risks.
Optional Deep Clean Service: Keep your console running and looking like it's brand new. With this service, we will also clean any dust or other dirt from both the inside or outside of your console. This also includes replacement of the internal clock battery.

I have a backward compatible PS3 that I value greatly. For the last several months, the fan would kick in after about 15 minutes and run full force for the rest of my session. The system never actually overheated but I still worried. I knew about the thermal paste issue but wasn’t entirely comfortable taking the unit apart myself. I am fortunate enough to live within a reasonable driving distance from their location and so I was able to drop the unit off in person. I was expecting to come back in a few days or even weeks and would have been okay with that. Instead I was told it would be ready in a couple of hours! I took my son to one of my favorite record stores nearby and then to lunch. Before we finished lunch, my PS3 was ready. I’ve played a lot over the last couple of weeks since it was done and the heat sink and fan perform close to new. The unit stays cooler and quieter. I couldn’t ask for better service.
